Built by members, for members.
1 Percent was founded on a simple premise: individually, most members lack the time, capital, or network to invest directly in Uganda's most promising businesses - together, the club can source, vet, and deploy capital into them with the same discipline as a professional fund.
Our Mission
To give members transparent, well-researched access to Ugandan businesses - in fintech, agriculture, and trade finance - that would otherwise be out of reach individually, without sacrificing the scrutiny a professional investor would apply.
Our Story
What began as a small group of colleagues pooling research and capital has grown into a structured club with a formal committee, a documented due-diligence process, and a growing membership base across Uganda - while keeping the same founding discipline: every business is scrutinised before it reaches members, and every result is reported honestly, including the ones that underperform.
The people behind the process
Our committee is responsible for sourcing, vetting, and reporting on every opportunity presented to members.
